Microcellulose Vs Nanocellulose – A Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Cellulose is the most abundant and renewable natural semi-crystalline polysaccharide. This biopolymer an inexhaustible source of fibers (NFs), valuable raw material for production microparticles microcrystalline (MCC) powdered cellulose (PC), as well other micro-products, which are widely used in biomedicine, food additives, plastics, materials. In addition, has a nano-fibrillar architecture that promotes release free nanofibers (CNFs) nanocrystals (CNCs). review article describes preparation methods, structural characteristics, properties, applications different types micro- (NFs, MCC, PC) nano-cellulose (CNFs, CNCs). Two main shortcomings hindering wide application various Nano (NC) were discovered, such high expenses difficulty competing with commercial micro-cellulose. To reduce cost NC, waste-free technology can be used, allows completely utilize materials chemicals, produce cheap nanocrystalline aggregates (NCA) zero emission liquid solid waste. Due to low cost, nanostructured product, NCA, will quite competitive micro-celluloses (MCC, PC, etc.) e.g., filler thickener.

Articaine vs Lidocaine : A review

The introduction of local anesthetics revolutionized the practice of dentistry. Prior to their introduction, general anesthesia was the only viable method of managing surgical pain. Among various local anesthetics available in India, lidocaine is most widely used. But lidocaine cannot provide 100% anesthesia, this leads to development of other anesthetics, one such is articaine. However, little...

Orthotropic Piezoelectricity in 2D Nanocellulose

The control of electromechanical responses within bonding regions is essential to face frontier challenges in nanotechnologies, such as molecular electronics and biotechnology. Here, we present Iβ-nanocellulose as a potentially new orthotropic 2D piezoelectric crystal. The predicted in-layer piezoelectricity is originated on a sui-generis hydrogen bonds pattern. Upon this fact and by using a co...

Mechanosorptive creep in nanocellulose materials

The creep behavior of nanocellulose films and aerogels are studied in a dynamic moisture environment, which is crucial to their performance in packaging applications. For these materials, the creep rate under cyclic humidity conditions exceeds any constant humidity creep rate within the cycling range, a phenomenon known as mechanosorptive creep. By varying the sample thickness and relative humi...

Soy protein–nanocellulose composite aerogels

Organic aerogels based on two important and widely abundant renewable resources, soy proteins (SP) and nanofibrillar cellulose (NFC) are developed from precursor aqueous dispersions and a facile method conducive of channeland defect-free systems after cooling and freeze-drying cycles that yielded apparent densities on the order of 0.1 g/cm. NFC loading drives the internal morphology of the comp...
